I had been friends with Khasan for a few years, but we never talked in depth about his dance career, even though I sensed it was going well for him.  He, in his self-effacing way, never mentioned he was choreographing and the first lead dancer for Katy Perry.  He also never mentioned that he was doing a TV show for MTV/LOGO called “Fire Island”, which included a couple of local LA Party Scene faces.  A few months ago he asked if I would shoot him the next time he was in town.  Khasan was great.  I love it when guys come with plenty of wardrobe ammunition, and I don’t have to play stylist.  I kind of sat back and let Khasan do the work.  And the photos capture the pro that he is.
